Free Witout Wings

After two years in the cage she got sick in the congested atmosphere and was released out. But her wings were chopped off inspite of her loosing her tail feathers in the small cage. Its a common situation in many homes and the country at large. Freedom without wings is no freedom at all. Those with wings are locked inside the cage.
I have used as much cold colours in the background to try and depict the gloomy situation.

My daughter 97

Water colour from photo taken in 1989 just before we retuned from our soujorn in Madurai India. I was more into music than art then and tried composing .

watchful cheeta 96

Trying out water colour after much planning to do systemtic layers to complete without smudging on drawing block and ordinary school colours and brush. My daughter loved it. I used a postcard and the cheeta was only watchful and wasnt drinking. I wanted to see her drink and planted grass bushes

wind blown pasta 98

With good colours and paper its a lot easier to work.
Even wind blown pasta is still fun and ridable.
but I spent most of my spare time observing
the tree and trying to get the colours right. out of all
the pasta paintings i like this one the best.
