Dhandehelu II... 98

I conducted many pioneer surf trips to South Suvadhiva from 95 to 98 and Dahandehelu II was my favourite boat then for its sturdiness when crossing the One and Half Degree Channel, for its big shaded flat top deck where its nice and cool and for its beautiful, sleek hull that makes for good speed.
We had days like this, windless hot and sunny in 98 August September when there was the big fire in Indonesia. But we had it good and glassy too and towards evening most surfers are exhausted to the art of doing nothing.

I had been using mainly photos for portrait drawings and others and was wanting very much to try a sitting when this girl who visited me with a friend volunteered to sit for a while.

The Dog 96

I ve never seen this dog but a surfer friend who came to Pasta Point in those days commissioned me to do a painting of his belovered and gave me a photo.

The Victimized 97

Its a shame that every now and then, a girl get raped and the rapist get away, and sometimes with a tap on the back. Heard a story in late nineties that
A girl from another island went to assist a relative who was hospitalised. And she became the victim of 20 or so.
In the news today
A 12 year old get raped by 4 and get a sentence of 8 months in a normal inhabited island.
